Shihan Van Donk
NINJUTSU RETREAT 2 days
Was Held May
27-28th, 2006
"Sword - Shinken
Shiraha Dome"
Great Success for Central America as the leading Ninjutsu instructors from 8 countries where there, including El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras.
Shihan Van Donk was all over the radio, newspaper and television promoting the Bujinkan encouraging people to live happier and more successful lives while they better supported each other.
Over 100 people each day joined the awesome training. It is amazing to think that all this started many years ago by one person with the courage to buy one Home Study Course video, trying it out and loving it. He invested in the rest of the course and started sharing it in his house with a few others. Now there are people in 8 other counties because of these efforts we have made together. Whoever says that the Distant Learning Program has no value would think twice when they would travel down here and see all the grateful people who's lives have changed because of these teachings. Their love is great and their appreciation was awesome. I was worn out by the thousands of Photos taken (not kidding). Shidoshi Bernal who hosted the event had the Largest area in San Salvador as the teaching location. The President of the Karate federation, Head of the Japanese Embassy, head of the Olympic Committe and so many other presidents of other organizations where there that I could not even keep up all the introductions with my limited Spanish. We all had a marvelous time and they all renamed me Mr. Positive (it sounds more interesting in Spanish). The host Shidoshi Luis Bernal (person who both the first tape) was promoted to 6th dan and co-host Shidoshi-ho Ricardo Zapata was awarded his Nidan. I enjoyed teaching the Power of the sword, advanced Budo Taijutsu and how the study of the blade can transform one's life. At the end of the event we went to a very beautiful private villa on the coast for a great feast prepared by Mrs. Zapata (THANKS) and played at the beach. What a great way to end a Wonderful event! Master Richard Van Donk
Hope to see everyone at the upcoming West Virginia
