Rafael,
I am working on that right now. I did an advance junan taiso self healing rejuvenation system at the tai kai.
Everyone loved it. I need to look at that footage to see if it can be realeased. I will be doing a formal series in the near future.
Best,
Richard Van Donk, Shidoshi

Dear Shidoshi Van Donk:

Just asking if there is available something like the "Junan Taiso Self Healing program" in DVD. I`ve been training with the Home Study Course but I would like to have a tough Junan Taiso as probably as an Amatsu basics.

Blessings!!

The void this opens is quite cold and painful for all involved, I know. Although I am not related and have only now found and registered with you, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to those near and dear to Greg. Very disturbing and chaotic energies have riddled Togakure in the past day or so, and perhaps this tragedy is closely related to this. But without going into that, I again am very sorry to hear this. The hearts of the four of us in Togakure are with you.

Seeing Hatsumi Sensei life in his dojo has been one of the highlights of my life so if you can please travel with Shihan R. Van Donk to Japan and you will thank yourself over and over again you did. See his site at www.ninjutsu.com for details. For those that cannot do this for good reasons (it took me 4 years btw. to go so please be determined and go..it will so much enrich your training to have even once been to the source! -after many years I still enjoy thinking of the first time ;D) I recommend to get the best DVDs mentioned in this article. There are many people that say you cannot learn from videos... I do NOT agree with them. You can learn from everything. It's up to you to take responsibility of how to learn. You will build character as well. And how often is it possible to see Hatsumi Sensei do a move over again ??? ZERO TIMES, correct! He never does anything twice. From a DVD... yes you can study this over and over again. (some little but important advice: after you "get the principle" > let go of the technique!). Buy a big plasma or even better buy or rent a videoprojector. You can then experience it life size. It's at least MUCH closer to the experience ... and the main thing you should learn to try to understand and learn are the principles behind the "techniques". This you certainly can learn from DVD. Best of course is to experience the pain involved ;D. This way you can learn always more than without. I see it as a very good complementary to training. Many teachers do not explain many of the important small details of a principle due to lack of time or experience of teaching etc etc. You can now get "private teaching" and you'll see as you progress and grow many new things appear in the same DVD you did not see before. Why ? Because you grow to become more aware of small details...Can you stop and pause Hatsumi Sensei and zoom in ? YES...! That's not something you can do at your dojo! However, to learn you should try to train at a Bujinkan Dojo, because the experience is something you have to do over and over. With the DVDs you can speed up your progress very much. Some of the info you learn will need time to ripen, but it will be there .. like a seed. Your sweat will give it water ;D. Happy growing pains training to ya!
