IBDA
Tai Kai -
March
11th-14th, 2010
"Perfecting Your Budo Taijutsu"

EVERYONE IS WELCOME... NO MATTER YOUR STYLE OR SKILL LEVEL
Do
your best to join us March 11th-14th, 2010 (Thursday
night to Sunday eve) in beautiful
San
Francisco, CA as we have an exciting 2010 IBDA Tai Kai theme
I'm calling
"Perfecting
Your Budo Taijutsu", which will of course include weapons
training!! - so bring your toys.
This
once a year IBDA Tai Kai event will be limited in size to 40 people,
including instructors. Most all of our events
sell out so take advantage and sign up now to reserve your place. (Many
spots are already gone as people started booking in September).

as I'll tell you more about the event below.
When
I started to plan this Tai Kai event I wanted a very special special theme
for this years training. As you may already know I like to give a theme
focus to our events.…..
When I sat down to think about it I had this great brainstorm
that lasted for several hours - I mean I literally could not
stop writing for almost 3 hours!
My brainstorm was triggered by asking myself this question:
“What are all the most important lessons of Budo Taijutsu ever taught
to me by Soke Hatsumi over the last 25 years?”
This
really is a great question to ask yourself at any time about the art you
study. And when you have studied an art for over 25 years and have made
over 50 trips to Japan to train with Soke Hatsumi and other Shihan this
is a super
question!
But
I don't want to get off track here - most important to me were all the
answers I got to that question and the method by which I got them.
They literally came flying into my brain and at first I wrote them
down as bullet points - but then as I went back over the bullet points I
received specific exercises on how to share these points with you.
Then I codified all the lessons into a progression of importance to detail
it all out for anyone to learn them. WOW!
I have totally crafted a super cool event that really excites me and I
can't wait to share with you all the insights that I have learned from
my years of training with Soke.
I also contacted some other senior instructors and asked them this powerful question.
Being inspired by this they have all asked to share their knowledge of their 10 top most important insights as well.
This years instructors are as follows:
Shihan Richard Van Donk - Judan+++++
Shihan
Dan Ordoins - Judan++
Shihan Joel Everett - Judan++
Shihan Jim King - 9th Dan
Shidoshi John Owsiak - 6th Dan
Shidoshi Carlito Flores - 6th Dan
Shidoshi Roman Marquez - 5th Dan
Shidoshi Charles Benham - 5th Dan
Shidoshi James Clum - 5th Dan
Shidoshi-ho Jamie Daiken - 4th Dan
Shidoshi-ho Theodore Schink - 3rd Dan
This event will be exciting and unlike any other.
On my rough draft I called this one “The
Master Secrets of Budo Taijutsu Tai Kai.”
However, thinking about it later, while that statement may be more than
true, I always like to under promise and over deliver. For that reason
I'm simply calling it
“Perfecting
Your Budo Taijutsu” and I absolutely intend to just over
deliver as we usually do.
Do
your best to join us for this Tai Kai - as usual it will be very informative
and super fun... and we look forward every year to meeting new students
and seeing old friends again!
Again,
This event will be limited in size to about 40 people, including instructors.
Most all of our events sell out so take advantage and sign up now
to reserve your place.
I
posted this years event early since many people have been asking to get
signed up so that they will not be left out (as may have happened to some
in the past.)
This will be a great event. See
you there....
TRAINING
AND FUN WILL BE ALMOST NON STOP
TAI KAI SCHEDULE

Be on time for this very special evening. For the 1st time ever Richard Van Donk will be revealing the inner art teachings of the martial arts in a way that you will be able to embody them forever because you will be actually practicing them (not just a lecture) in a proprietary step-by-step method that has only been shared in his $2,750 private one-on-one sessions. Of course this will be condensed basics training as we only have a few hours but what you do learn will change your martial arts forever.
Richard will share the Enlightened WarriorTM principles of centering, empowering yourself, spinal power, free flowing your energy, creating all mind / no-mind states, Sphere of being, Ki flow, Meditation, and even Kuji-in.These Enlightened WarriorTM inner teachings of the martial arts will enhance your entire TaiKai experience and perhaps change your martial arts forever.
* Please note that this Inner Arts Training will help your Ninjutsu/Budo Taijutsu and I want to be clear that they are NOT direct teachings from Soke Hatsumi nor are they directly part of the Bujinkan. Over the last 30 years of I have traveled the world seeking this knowedge from at least 100 masters including Soke Hatsumi who is well educated in the Inner Arts. These skills that I will share with you would expect a true Ninja to have. Be there and be trained in the inner arts. This years Bujinkan theme includes knowing more of the 6 senses.

A
list of many San Francisco Area attractions will be sent to you after
the first of the year. You may want to come early or stay after to enjoy
all the wonders of San Francisco.
Why
San Francisco instead of Santa Cruz?
Well,
there are many great reasons including a
much better hotel for less cost to everyone,
the rooms are twice as nice for a lessor price, a bar lounge where we
can all get together, No rental car needed (door
to door airport shuttle), exciting night life, and it was the overwhelming
choice of our last years attendees.
We also did an e-mail campaign to all our members and we did a web poll
to find out where they preferred to have the 2010 Tai Kai, if they wanted
a special group dinner together, and if we should have a special t-shirt
made for the event.
The
Web Poll Results were very clear -
LOCATION -
93% chose San
Francisco near the airport so I booked the upscale Hilton Double Tree
Hotel for our 2010 IBDA Tai Kai. We get a great rate of only $99 a night
(reg. $135).
It took some arm twisting but I got them to give us this low rate for
Wednesday through Sunday, so you can come early or stay later for the
same low rate. (The amount of rooms for the extra days and special rates
are limited to the first 30 people who book rooms. This special pricing
of only $99 a night is now available - remember to tell them you are with
the IBDA Tai Kai and use the special IBDA Tai Kai code < C-ITK >
!!
GROUP DINNER -
86% wanted a group dinner so on Saturday Night of the event we
have booked a local restaurant party room that overlooks the ocean for
extra fun Tai Kai celebration.
TAI KAI T-SHIRT -
92% want a Tai Kai shirt so we designed one using the Tai Kai
Theme.
Click the link below to see the shirts and to place
your vote on which color shirt that you like best.
